Salt Lake City 2002 Winter Olympic Games, Steven Bradbury won his most unexpected gold medal in the men's short track 1000m event!
Usain Bolt may be the fastest man, but he's also very entertaining to watch. Before and after the 200m race in the 2008 Beijing Olympics, he works up the crowd, poses and dances. Not to mention, that Olympics was the first time Bolt has raced in the 100m and he does so with ease as he puts his arms down metres before the finish line. Also his shoes were untied!
2000 Sydney Olympics, Eric Moussambani from Equatorial Guinea entered into the Olympics with a wildcard. He had only began swimming 8 months prior to winning his 100m freestyle trial. Even though his time was over twice the time of the faster swimmers, he set the national record for his country!
2008 Beijing Olympics men's 400m final, coming in at 4th David Neville dives across the finish line, slams onto the ground and manages to win the bronze medal. Perhaps a new technique to finishing sprint races?
Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympics, Anna Fresinger crashed because her skate broke, so she thought she had caused her team to miss the finals. However, she makes it across the line before the last American.
This may be painful to watch for male viewers... So be warned!
