Ben Johnson - 1988 Seoul Olympics
Canadian sprinter, Ben Johnson was sent home from the 1988 Seoul Olympics. Three days after winning the 100m final, he tested positive for drugs. Johnson's initial response was the herbal drink he had consumed before the race was spiked. Later on him and his coach admitted to the drug use and tried to justify it by explaining that they only did it to give him an equal chance as all the top athletes were using perfomance-enhancing drugs too.
Chinese Swim Team - 1992 Barcelona Olympics
It all began at the 1992 Barcelona Olympic Games. China having never been a ranked amongst the best in swimming events, suddenly won four swimming gold medals in 1992. From then on, the Chinese dominated in the 90s. It raised suspicions and has since been discovered that from 1990, 40 Chinese swimmers have failed drug tests. China's swim association have increased restrictions and penalties but China's reputation has been damaged for future swimmers.
Marion Jones - 2000 Sydney Olympics
2007 Marion Jones admitted to using steroids prior the 2000 Sydney Olympics and that she lied when she denied any drug use to the press, sports agencies and to two grand juries. Marion Jones was found guilty of perjury and was sentenced to six months imprisonment, from March to September of 2008 in the Federal Medical Center-Carswell in Fort Worth, Texas. She was demanded to return all her medals, two gold and three bronze that she won in the 2000 Sydney Olympics. She confessed that her poor choices and reactions had ruined all her achievements.

The Munich Massacre - 1972 Munich Olympics
This was the second time the Summer Olympics were hosted by Germany, the first tim being the 1936 Berlin Olympics held under the Nazi regime. The event was devastated by the terrorist attack by a group of Palestinian called Black September. Members of the Israeli Olympic Team including athletes, coaches and officials were taken for hostage. The ordeal lasted for 18 hours resulting in the death of eleven Israeli athletes and coaches and a West German police officer.

Angel Matos - 2008 Beijing Olympics
After being declared the loser of the bronze-medal match in Taekwondo, Cuban Angel Matos in outrage kicked and punched the referee and judge. Him and his coach were punished with a lifetime ban from the World Taekwondo Federation.
